GreenTech – Development of factories and products of the future for the green transition, Razvoj tovarn in izdelkov prihodnosti za zeleni prehod.
The GREENTECH program brings together top scientific expertise and leading industrial partners to support Slovenian companies in the green transition on two levels: production processes and products. This research program aims to interconnect revolutionary solutions across the entire value chain of the development and production process—from R&D innovations and advanced manufacturing technologies to energy-efficient devices based on EU-sourced materials. Initially, the program will drive the green transition in Slovenia, gradually expanding its impact across the European Union and globally.
It is estimated that within ten years of full implementation in the EU market, the research program will contribute to reduction of CO₂ emissions by over 17 million tons, energy savings of nearly 9 billion kWh, material consumption reduction by approximately 800,000 tons.
The GREENTECH consortium includes the following companies: Gorenje d.o.o., Fotona d.o.o., Domel d.o.o., LPKF d.o.o., Yaskawa Slovenija d.o.o., Danfoss Trata d.o.o., Kronoterm d.o.o., Medius d.o.o. Research institutions involved: Faculty of Social Sciences (University of Ljubljana, UL), Faculty of Management (University of Primorska, UP). The leading partner of the project is the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (University of Ljubljana, UL). Project Timeline: January 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026.
