, the Main objective of the project it is build with detailed research is focused on the field of application of the concept of distributed systems and computing at the edge-at the same time the introduction of the technologies of 5G in manufacturing processes and systems. . In so doing, we further investigated the effects of the application of the technologies of 5G on the efficiency of the production process, in particular from the point of view of the reliability and the speed of the transfer and processing of data, and the ability of the optimization or of the response process, in real-time.

Indirect objectives can be defined as follows:

  • Develop will be the appropriate architecture for the computation of the edges, suitable for the production processes and systems, which is based on the architecture model of distributed systems, LASFA, and the concept of the distributed systems in production processes and supported with the digital time.
  • Developed, will be a digital model of the architecture of the computation at the edge of the inclusion of 5G, which is going to be used for the simulation and optimization of the computation at the edge of the well as the impact of the technologies of 5G in the manufacturing and logistics processes.
  • Develop will be the corresponding experimental laboratory environment for the analysis of the impact of technology, 5G, and the concept of a computation at the edge of the area of manufacturing systems.
  • Made will be the experimental analysis for the validation of new concepts and techniques. Developed will be no comparative studies related to the processes of the manufacturing industry. In this context, we will further analyze the types and methods of connectivity, and the communication between the systems, and perform a comparative analysis between the conventional wired and wireless technologies, and 5G.
